GREEN GARDENS IN POZNAŃ

This is a unique place in Poznań – full of breath characteristic for public space devoid of the commercial and circulation functions. The green gardens have brought back life to the dead part of the centre of Poznań.
A small site is a natural hideaway between the main tram lines in Poznań, close to the largest shopping centres, inside a residential part of the district. It is very well visible from a very busy street; however it is outside of the main paths of pedestrian and urban traffic. The green area, forgotten until 2005, as a result of modernisation became a friendly park strongly affecting the neighbourhood with its charm. The small scale of the task did not make us neglect it and produced high quality technical solutions.
The line and wood structure of the pergola is an example of a world-class interesting solution.
